PRODUCT

An ideal buyer profile for every product

You describe who buys your product. Scalemerce uses that description to search for, score and sort importers, country by country.

In Scalemerce, each product has its own ideal buyer profile: countries, buyer types (importer, distributor, wholesaler, retail chain…), company sizes, signals to look for and exclusions. The AI reads the website of each company found, scores every criterion according to your weights and keeps only the accounts above your threshold.

HOW IT WORKS

In practice

  1. Start from your markets

The profile is pre-filled with the countries and buyer types of your target markets, plus the tags linked to the product's HS code.

  2. Refine the criteria

Company sizes, keywords to look for on the website, certifications, sourcing regions, interest in private label.

  3. Rule out what you don't want

Names, domains and company types to exclude, for example competitors that produce but do not import.

  4. Set the weights and threshold

You choose the weight of each criterion and the minimum score. Each save creates a new version of the profile.

WHAT YOU GET

Key points

  • An explained score

For each account, the score for each criterion and the evidence found on the website: you can see why it was kept or rejected.

  • One profile per product

Marble buyers are not olive oil buyers. Each product keeps its own criteria.

  • Targeted decision-makers

The target roles (purchasing, category management, supply chain, senior management) are part of the profile and guide the contact search.

  • Version history

Each qualification keeps a record of the profile version used, with its criteria, weights and threshold.

Frequently asked questions

What is an ideal buyer profile?

It describes the companies that buy your product: country, buyer type, size, interest signals and exclusions. Scalemerce uses it to search for and score accounts.

How does the AI score an importer?

It reads the public pages of the company's website and gives a score for each criterion (product, buyer type, size, signals, origin). The final score is the average weighted by your weights.

Can I change the profile after a search?

Yes. Each change creates a new version; accounts that are already qualified keep a record of the version used.
